Service Operations Assistant

About the role

The Service Operations Assistant supports Esco Lifesciences’ service department by ensuring field engineers have the parts, tools, and documentation they need for daily operations. The role combines inventory control, equipment maintenance, and procurement assistance while keeping the service area clean and organized.

Key responsibilities

• Manage service store inventory: receive, pick, pack, label spare parts and prepare daily “job kits” for field engineers.
• Conduct regular stock‑takes, monitor levels and trigger replenishment requests.
• Assist the main warehouse with loading, unloading and internal stock movements.
• Maintain a master register of testing and measurement equipment, perform basic repairs and coordinate external calibration with third‑party labs.
• Keep calibration certificates and “as‑found/as‑left” records up to date for audit readiness.
• Ensure daily cleanliness and organization of the workshop, service store and surrounding areas, complying with safety standards.
• Convert supplier quotations into internal purchase requests and follow them through to delivery.
• Update service documentation, manuals and digital records as directed by the Service Manager.

Required profile

• ITE Nitec or Diploma in Engineering, Logistics or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in inventory, logistics, equipment maintenance or procurement support.
