Shift Leader – Restaurant

About the role

The Shift Leader supports the restaurant team by ensuring food and beverage orders are delivered accurately and efficiently to guests. This front‑of‑house position requires a keen eye for detail, basic math skills for billing, and a commitment to providing excellent hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Carry large trays of food from the kitchen to the correct tables.
• Verify that dishes match tickets, including modifiers and special requests.
• Deliver the right food and beverages to the appropriate table numbers.
• Compute and process food and beverage bills using the cash register or POS system.
• Inspect trays and drinks for completeness and accuracy before service.
• Apply quality and safety standards, maintaining hygiene and a clean service environment.
• Interact with guests, providing courteous and proactive service.
• Use a computer and tablet for order entry and service tasks.
• Work split shifts, including weekdays and public holidays, in a diverse team.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than one year of related food‑and‑beverage experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including public holidays.

Required skills

• Basic computer and tablet operation.
• Proficiency with cash register or POS systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
