Shift Process Engineer - Real Defect Analysis & Metrology

About the role

Micron is hiring a Shift Process Engineer for its Fab 10N/X site, focused on RAM lots, real defect analysis and metrology. The engineer supports the smooth operation of RAM lots and tools, manages lot disposition and tool operations, and works with teams such as HVM RAM to align with metrology and RDA processes. The role involves shift work, including weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Support RAM lot and tool operations, optimise RAM tool performance and complete cost-saving projects
• Manage lot disposition and tool operations so lot measurements are completed accurately without quality issues or errors
• Work with teams such as HVM RAM to align with metrology and RDA processes, and with process owners to ensure actions match specifications and procedures
• Coordinate and run training or briefings for the operations team on procedures, best-known methods (BKM) and changes
• Track operational performance metrics and drive continuous improvement of metrology and RDA processes
• Ensure end-to-end project execution, including efficiency and RPT reduction projects
• Analyse measurement data, run GR&R studies, fix RAM tools and support investigations of process deviations
• Follow safety procedures and area work rules, and take on other assignments as advised by the supervisor
• Use AI to streamline workflows, optimise processes and enable data-driven decisions

Required profile

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nano-optoelectronics or Material Science
• 2 to 3 years of experience managing metrology processes
• Experience in tool optimisation
• Willingness to work in shifts, day or night, including weekends

Required skills

• Metrology and RDA tools such as CDSEM, KLA, AFM and E-beam
• GR&R analysis
