Site Manager - Elevator Installation

About the role

KONE, a global leader in elevators and escalators, is hiring a Site Manager. The Site Manager is accountable for the safe, high-quality and efficient installation of the KONE solution, within the agreed scope, schedule and budget. The role leads the installation team, coordinates with the builder and other contractors, and acts as the main interface with the customer and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation and handovers, ensuring safety, quality and productivity, and act on non-conformities
• Verify the site execution plan, field cost management and the S-plan milestones, and confirm material deliveries to site
• Plan installation activities, site storage and logistics, and organise continuous huddles with the team to prevent interruptions
• Manage the handover to the installation team, including scope, completion dates and target installation hours
• Verify installation quality, final testing and close out items, then hand over to maintenance
• Manage quality claims, time sheets, documentation, progress reporting, cost accumulation and schedule changes
• Handle environmental aspects such as waste and hazardous material
• Act as the primary customer contact and ensure customer satisfaction
• Check that installers, testers and contractors are trained and certified, and manage subcontractor relationships
• Follow and improve standard ways of working according to Lean principles

Required profile

• Experience in construction or the elevator industry is an asset
• Ability to manage installation performance and subcontractors
• Understanding of relevant laws, standards and general contractual terms
