Site Reliability Engineer (A185556)

About the role

The Site Reliability Engineer will ensure the stability, availability, and efficiency of Xiaomi's global services. You will work closely with R&D teams, participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation, and drive automation to reduce manual effort.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Xiaomi's worldwide business platforms, respond to incidents, and participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers to design backend architectures, implement distributed and clustered solutions, and guarantee cluster reliability.
• Develop and deploy automation tools and systems that streamline operational tasks and reduce manual intervention.
• Apply technical solutions for cost control, performance optimization, and improved service‑management efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of Unix/Linux systems and Bash scripting; knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv6 and other network protocols is a plus.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C++, Go, Java, or Python, with experience in Linux shell development.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving abilities, with a high sense of responsibility and willingness to work under pressure.
• Business‑level fluency in English; Mandarin is an advantage (oral only).
