SNR Engineer, PD SG CMP

About the role

Micron's NAND Process Development (PD) Singapore group is looking for a process development engineer to support technology node deployment, process margin improvement and continued engagement with manufacturing on upcoming nodes. The role focuses on Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) for 3D NAND and beyond, with work in Singapore and with the TD site in Boise, US.

Key responsibilities

• Own the CMP process module, including characterization and advanced process development for 3D NAND and beyond
• Develop processes with Singapore and Boise engineers and vendors that meet integration requirements for next-generation 3D NAND nodes
• Transfer CMP processes to high-volume manufacturing (Fab10N) and drive continuous improvements to manufacturability
• Work with the Fab10N team and business partners on tool choices and evaluations, and on process simplification opportunities
• Improve process margins to meet mature yield goals, and run experiments to widen margins and test manufacturability of next-node solutions
• Perform fundamental research, consumables development and hardware evaluation, and design advanced process monitoring and control methodologies
• Lead complex, multi-functional projects, coordinate quality, yield, cost and productivity improvement meetings, and advise management on technical issues
• Contribute to innovation projects through patents and technical papers, and collaborate with suppliers worldwide
• Use AI tools to streamline workflows and support data-driven decisions, while protecting intellectual property

Required profile

• PhD, or Master's degree with 3+ years, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics or a related field
• Experience with CMP polishing equipment such as AMAT or EBARA
• Ability to collaborate with local and overseas teams and communicate clearly in person and remotely
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a demanding, dynamic environment
