Software Development Intern – Cloud‑Native Java

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Software Development Intern to join our Application Delivery‑Engineering team. You will work on cloud‑native Java applications, gaining hands‑on experience with modern development, deployment and support processes.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop and implement cloud‑native Java applications.
• Assist in deploying, maintaining and scaling applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing code to improve performance and reliability.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of microservices architecture and containerised solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Support the creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
• Research emerging technologies and best practices related to cloud‑native development.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering or related programme.
• Proficient in Java with a solid understanding of object‑oriented design.
• Familiar with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Basic knowledge of microservices, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
