Solar Design Engineer – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Solar Design Engineer to lead the design and documentation of photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential and commercial projects in Singapore. The role combines technical design, project coordination and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed PV layouts, single‑line diagrams (SLD) and stringing plans using AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope and PV SketchUp.
• Perform voltage‑drop calculations, prepare bills of materials and review safety documentation.
• Manage project schedules, budgets and resource allocation, ensuring timely progress.
• Liaise with vendors, local electrical works (BLEW) and PV lead engineers to secure approvals and oversee tie‑in and commissioning activities.
• Ensure designs comply with HDB, commercial building codes and renewable‑energy permitting requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Renewable Energy, Mechanical, Civil, Building Services or a related field.
• At least 2 years of project engineering experience in solar PV, renewable energy, construction or telecommunications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with PV design tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope and PV SketchUp.
• Ability to produce and review PV layouts, SLDs, stringing diagrams, BOMs and safety documents.
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM is required.
