Sommelier – Heritage Restaurant at Raffles Hotel

About the role

The 1887 by André restaurant at Raffles Hotel Singapore is seeking a passionate Sommelier to enhance the guest dining experience in its intimate 42‑seat heritage setting. Working closely with the Head Sommelier, you will help curate and deliver a wine programme that reflects the restaurant’s blend of Victorian elegance and contemporary Singaporean flavours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient wine service, offering recommendations and taking wine orders.
• Serve wine at the correct temperature, in appropriate glassware, and ensure proper presentation.
• Upsell wine by the glass and bottle, suggest aperitifs and after‑meal options, and promote alcohol‑free pairings.
• Maintain accurate wine stock, manage mise‑en‑place, and coordinate wine requisitions with the store.
• Collaborate with the culinary, catering sales, and service teams to ensure seamless service.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in the wine and service areas.
