Speech Therapist, Paediatrics (CDU) - Contract

About the role

NUH is looking for a Speech Therapist for its Child Development Unit (CDU), a full-time contract position. The CDU sees children under 7 years old with developmental, learning and behavioural concerns. You will work in a multidisciplinary team that provides holistic, family-centred and community-based care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients referred for speech therapy and implement appropriate treatment plans
• Plan and run group therapy programmes with allied health team members
• Deliver caregiver education through individual coaching and workshops
• Comply with clinical and service standards
• Practice within your area of professional competence and seek clinical support from a supervisor or other healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Take part in clinical education programmes for Speech Therapy students
• Contribute to related clinical research projects

Required profile

• Recognized degree in Speech Therapy and eligibility for full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills
• Patient-centred and a positive, collaborative team member
• Passion for serving in the public sector and enjoyment of collaborative, patient-centred care
• Experience in Paediatrics is an added advantage
