Staff Engineer / Principal Engineer – Wet Etch Process

About the role

Micron Semiconductor is seeking a Staff Engineer or Principal Engineer to lead wet‑etch process development for advanced NAND products in Singapore. You will work within a cross‑functional team to drive yield, quality and technology breakthroughs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise wet‑etch unit processes to meet yield and quality targets for next‑generation NAND.
• Quantify benefits of new process or equipment solutions and guide early adoption.
• Prioritise R&D challenges for the Singapore wet‑etch team and integrate solutions across manufacturing.
• Collaborate with advanced‑node peers to translate future device needs into clear process requirements.
• Identify disruptive processes, generate IP, and manage experiments to widen process margins.
• Implement advanced process monitoring, control methodologies and AI‑assisted tools.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary projects, provide technical counsel to management and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical or Micro‑electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience with leading‑edge wet‑etch technology.
• Strong understanding of chemistry, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, mass transport and related physical phenomena.
