Staff Nurse / Senior Staff Nurse – Endoscopy Centre

About the role

The Endoscopy Centre at Tan Tock Seng Hospital is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse or Senior Staff Nurse to deliver patient‑centered nursing care. You will support patients before, during and after endoscopic procedures, ensuring safety, comfort and adherence to clinical standards while also managing endoscope processing and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing care that addresses patients' physical, psychological and emotional needs throughout the endoscopy pathway.
• Perform pre‑procedure, intra‑procedure and post‑procedure nursing tasks in line with hospital protocols.
• Process and maintain endoscopic scopes, ensuring proper cleaning, disinfection and re‑processing.
• Uphold radiation safety by using lead aprons during procedures.
• Handle disinfectants and re‑processing chemicals safely as part of scope re‑processing workflows.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
• Strong interest in procedural and acute care settings.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment, including shift work, on‑call duties and weekend rosters.
• Preferably experienced in Operating Theatre, Endoscopy, ICU, Medical Ambulatory Centre, Intensive Cardiac Lab or Diagnostic Radiology.

Required skills

• Endoscope cleaning and re‑processing.
• Radiation protection practices (use of lead apron).
• Safe handling of disinfectants and re‑processing chemicals.
