Staff / Senior Product Engineer - Advanced Analytics

About the role

Micron's STPG Product Engineering team is looking for a Staff / Senior Product Engineer who applies advanced analytics, machine learning and agentic AI to solve complex NAND product engineering and manufacturing challenges. The role develops data-driven, AI-enabled solutions that improve yield, reliability, defectivity and test time across the NAND product lifecycle, from New Product Introduction (NPI) to High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM), working with Product Engineering, Fab, Technology Development, Test, Quality and System teams. It also involves enabling and mentoring Citizen Data Scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy predictive and diagnostic ML models for yield improvement, test time reduction, cost optimization, NAND reliability analysis and qualification
• Apply advanced ML techniques to large-scale structured semiconductor datasets such as wafer fab inline, probe and test data
• Build, validate and maintain end-to-end ML workflows supporting NPI and HVM decisions, and use data-driven methods for root cause analysis of yield, reliability and defectivity issues
• Design and implement agentic AI solutions to automate Product Engineering workflows, and integrate AI agents with enterprise systems such as JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint
• Collaborate with Fab, Technology Development, Design, Test, Quality and System teams on reliability and defectivity failures, yield improvement and data-backed technical decisions
• Mentor Citizen Data Scientists, build learning paths and training modules, and review AI/analytics projects for quality and business impact

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Data Science
• 3+ years of AI/ML work experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
• Semiconductor or NAND manufacturing or product engineering experience strongly preferred

Required skills

• Python and data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
• ML models for structured/tabular data, including regression, tree-based models and gradient boosting
• Preferred: TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure ML or AWS SageMaker
