Staff/Senior Engineer, PROCT FE Cost Excellence

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Staff/Senior Engineer for its PROCT FE Cost Excellence role at Fab 10A. The engineer leads cross-functional programs that drive Front-End (FE) cost and Max Out performance, aligning with corporate business objectives and accountability for key targets such as IPP goals and productivity improvements. The role also covers process-related problem solving, yield improvement and supplier coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Drive FE cost and Max Out goals: understand short- and long-term targets, initiate and run cross-functional programs, and define scope, goals, deliverables, timelines and resources with sponsors and stakeholders.
• Manage program dependencies, risks and milestones, prioritise programs and track deliverables, and use subject-matter expertise to enable program success.
• Deliver tactical support and program management, including program proposals and regular progress reports, and resolve identified roadblocks.
• Facilitate regular meetings with key business partners and engage with stakeholders and leadership teams to assess program strengths and improvement areas.
• Use AI agents and skills to develop tools that improve productivity in cost or Max Out programs.
• Communicate regularly with senior leadership, sites and PROCT leadership, and share priorities, roadmap, wins, issues and changes with key stakeholders.
• Process and equipment engineers work together to start up, develop and optimise processes, improve yield, reduce costs and improve productivity, and resolve manufacturing line problems using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC methods.
• Evaluate and optimise processes, equipment and materials, handle new process baseline qualifications, and audit and liaise with material suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Master's in Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Understanding of Front-End semiconductor manufacturing processes and business processes.
• Excellent analytical, fact-based decision-making and interpersonal skills, with effective communication at all levels.
• Teamwork and collaboration with internal and external groups.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and multi-task, and to lead a team to meet challenging deadlines.
• Ability to measure self and team for efficiency and effectiveness.
