Steam Engineer – Boiler Operations (12‑hr Rotating Shift)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Steam Engineer to operate and maintain natural gas and biomass boilers in our plant. The role ensures a safe, stable, and continuous steam supply to support production while complying with all safety and regulatory standards. The position works on a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Operate natural gas and biomass boilers within defined safe limits.
• Maintain stable steam output to meet production demands.
• Monitor boiler parameters such as pressure, temperature, water level, and fuel consumption.
• Adjust boiler output in response to load fluctuations.
• Troubleshoot pressure and steam supply issues promptly.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and support plant shutdown activities.
• Ensure compliance with WSH, PPE, LOTO, and Permit‑to‑Work requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of boiler performance, fuel usage, and audit‑ready documentation.
• Coordinate steam demand with production teams and supervise external contractors in the boiler area.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food processing or a similar industry.
• Valid Steam Engineer Certificate (Grade 1 or Grade 2).
• At least 5 years operating natural gas steam boilers; biomass boiler experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts.
• Work location: Jalan Boon Lay, Singapore.
