Strategic Buyer – Cables & Network Products

About the role

The Strategic Buyer will support a European multinational leader in automation and connectivity products, focusing on cables and network solutions. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the role offers hybrid working (2 days remote) and clear career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Handle special product enquiries for cables, including pricing for customized requests.
• Develop and monitor vendors, especially across APAC (excluding China).
• Coordinate pricing activities with suppliers, affiliates, internal sales, and procurement teams.
• Support product development by liaising with suppliers and approving authorities.
• Assist quality teams in resolving technical complaints related to cables.
• Calculate DP for material purchases according to regional policy.

Required profile

• Degree in electrical or industrial engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in cable sourcing and vendor development.
• Strong understanding of the cable industry and standards.
• Experience handling sales enquiries and product knowledge of cable construction.
