Strategic Supplier Manager - PCB

About the role

The Strategic Supplier Manager – PCB will lead Advantest’s PCB supplier base, aligning supplier strategies with long‑term business and supply‑chain goals. You will shape commercial frameworks, drive cost and innovation initiatives, and ensure supply resilience for rapid product development.

Key responsibilities

• Govern strategic PCB supplier relationships across the full lifecycle, defining strategies that support business objectives and technology roadmaps.
• Design and lead long‑term commercial contracts, including pricing models, capacity commitments, risk allocation and exit strategies.
• Establish performance governance, identify and mitigate quality, technology, capacity and supply risks, and drive corrective actions.
• Plan strategic capacity, investment and material buffer concepts with suppliers to ensure scalability and business continuity.
• Enable fast and reliable new‑product introductions by aligning suppliers early on technology, capacity and process readiness.
• Collaborate closely with Commodity Management, R&D, Product Management, Quality, Operations and senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement, sustainability and compliance initiatives across the supplier network.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management or procurement within a high‑tech or manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to develop and manage long‑term commercial contracts and capacity plans.
• Strong analytical and risk‑management skills with a focus on cost, innovation and sustainability.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills, working with R&D, product, quality and operations teams.
• Track record of building trust‑based partnerships with key suppliers.
