Strategy and Policy Officer – Corporate Strategy

About the role

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is seeking a Strategy and Policy Officer to support the development and implementation of its Corporate Strategy. The role will be based in Beijing and will work closely with the Strategy, Policy and Budget (SPB) Department to align strategic initiatives with the Bank’s annual Business Plan and Budget.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of Bank strategies and implementation of the Corporate Strategy (CS).
• Identify and articulate key CS objectives, focus areas, and develop logical sequencing of actions, milestones, impacts, and risks.
• Coordinate with relevant departments and topical working groups to ensure holistic participation and ownership.
• Act as focal point for multiple work streams, providing data and analytics as needed.
• Prepare documents for internal and external communications and consultations.
• Assist in the development and oversight of the annual business plan and quarterly updates.
• Facilitate cross‑departmental consultations to link departmental objectives with corporate priorities.
• Perform or coordinate data analytics to support CS and BPB implementation.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of strategic planning and policy development in a multilateral development bank or similar institution.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills across multiple departments.
• Ability to analyse complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Experience preparing high‑quality briefing documents and reports for senior management.
