Supply Chain & Proximity Manager - Third Party Managed Vessels

About the role

Maersk is looking for a Supply Chain & Proximity Manager for its third-party managed vessels business. The role owns the end-to-end demand-to-delivery process for an allocated portfolio of vessels and manages the related procurement and supply-chain activities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end demand-to-delivery process for an allocated portfolio of third-party vessel-managed vessels.
• Ensure compliance with procurement category strategies while meeting vessel-owner and operational requirements.
• Manage RFQs with non-contracted suppliers to secure competitive offers and reliable delivery outcomes.
• Optimise vessel-budget utilisation, follow the procure-to-pay process, resolve invoice discrepancies and support timely vendor payments.
• Coordinate the preparation and release of dry-dock orders with the technical organisation.
• Monitor daily operational performance and use data to find service, cost and process improvements.
• Work with master-data and system teams on data quality, tool adoption, process compliance and reporting.
• Build relationships with vessels, superintendents, technical teams and suppliers, and respond quickly to urgent or complex requests.
• Lead category and supply-chain excellence initiatives and represent the team in strategic forums.
• Propose sourcing alternatives, supplier options and pricing feedback to improve coverage, cost and delivery reliability.

Required profile

• More than 4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or sourcing.
• Proven track record in planning and supply chain management within an international matrix organisation.
• Experience in the maritime industry is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with excellent time management and risk handling.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
