SWIFT Technical Lead

About the role

A client of Recruitment Alliance is looking for a dynamic candidate with strong IT experience to lead and manage banking software systems that use SWIFT messaging, a key system for sending and receiving secure financial messages. The position is based in Yio Chu Kang, Singapore, on a 1-year contract that may be extended.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects and testing related to SWIFT systems and banking software.
• Act as main point of contact for SWIFT system updates and enhancements, especially those related to ISO20022.
• Work with messaging formats such as SWIFT FIN and ISO20022.
• Use tools such as IBM MQ, SFTP, APIs and JMS to connect systems.
• Support and manage software related to SWIFT applications (SAA, SAG, SNL, AWP).
• Plan, prepare and manage testing for system changes and new features.
• Create and manage test documents and track testing activities with tools such as JIRA and GitHub.
• Handle issue tracking and help resolve problems found during testing; testing may sometimes be done outside regular working hours.
• Provide documents and information during internal or external audits and give regular support for critical banking systems.

Required profile

• Certification in software testing or quality management.
• Strong understanding of SWIFT messaging and transaction screening systems.
• Experience with incident and defect management.
