Systems Administrator II

About the role

The Systems Administrator II will provide operational support for a team that manages large‑scale building management and physical security systems. The role is ticket‑based, requiring systematic resolution of incidents and routine maintenance of server infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute server rack installations, including mounting and OS deployment.
• Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and break‑fix of servers and related hardware.
• Maintain internal data such as asset management, ticketing records and rack elevations.
• Coordinate with remote vendors to resolve hardware failures.
• Participate in on‑call duties, handling issues raised by business owners.
• Collect and verify online asset data, manage part RMA and media destruction processes.
• Conduct server network troubleshooting and oversee server lifecycle management.
• Escalate complex problems to senior SOE as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong ability to work under pressure with a high sense of responsibility.
• Excellent English communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• Linux operating systems.
• Shell/Bash scripting.
• Basic networking concepts (MAC addressing, subnetting, TCP/IP).
• Out‑of‑band/lights‑out server management methods such as IPMI.
• Server hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Asset management and ticketing system usage.
• Rack installation and server lifecycle management.
• Automation and scripting experience.
