Systems Administrator – Operations Support

About the role

The Systems Administrator will join Cubic Defense’s Operations Support team, ensuring the availability and reliability of host computers and servers that underpin critical defence and transportation solutions. This role involves monitoring system performance, handling configuration changes, and providing first‑level support to keep operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain host computers and servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
• Record system downtime and keep equipment inventory up to date.
• Provide first‑level support for operations software, addressing availability and usability issues.
• Respond to and close ad‑hoc incidents, requests, and issues from end users or customers.
• Apply firmware and software revisions to host systems.
• Coordinate with vendors to facilitate support activities.
• Perform shift duties as required and travel overseas to support remote requirements.
• Undertake any additional tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Willingness to work in shifts and travel internationally when needed.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with end users, customers, and vendors.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and ability to follow up on incidents until resolution.
