Talent Research Intern

About the role

SGInnovate is seeking a motivated Talent Research Intern to support its People team in building pipelines of high‑potential talent for deep‑tech startups. The role combines market research, event coordination and recruitment operations to help match emerging talent with innovative companies across AI, cybersecurity, biotech, robotics, quantum computing and more.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify outreach channels to talent clusters, institutions and ecosystems locally and overseas.
• Assist in planning, organizing and executing talent outreach events such as career fairs, campus talks and networking sessions.
• Coordinate venue booking, marketing ideas, vendor liaison and event setup.
• Support outreach to universities, partners and professional communities to drive participation.
• Help build a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.
• Participate in talent acquisition activities including candidate outreach, screening and shortlisting.
• Source potential candidates on platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub and industry forums.
• Contribute to talent marketing initiatives and ad‑hoc tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in Human Resources, Business, Communications or a related field.
• Strong interest in recruitment, talent acquisition or HR as a career path.
• Excellent research and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Good event planning and organisational skills.
