Tax Manager – Asia Pacific

About the role

As a Tax Manager for the Asia Pacific region, you will lead tax and transfer pricing initiatives for Allianz Technology SE across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Australia. You will act as the regional tax subject‑matter expert, supporting business units, finance teams and senior management on a wide range of tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax and transfer pricing advice on IT transformation projects, M&A, contract reviews and charging flows.
• Deliver international tax guidance covering tax treaties, withholding taxes, GST/VAT and Pillar 2 compliance.
• Support finance functions with transfer pricing requirements and day‑to‑day tax queries.
• Monitor national and international tax developments, including BEPS Pillar 2.
• Oversee corporate tax filings, transfer pricing documentation, GST/VAT returns and ensure high‑quality tax reporting.
• Manage tax audits, risk‑management topics and design compliance processes.
• Conduct tax training for regional teams and foster knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with regional and German tax colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.
• Develop AI‑driven process automation solutions to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Taxation or a related professional qualification with relevant tax certification.
• Approximately 6 years of experience in tax advisory and compliance.
• Strong technical tax knowledge, commercial acumen and experience with transfer pricing and cross‑border tax concepts.
