Technical Data Lead

About the role

Capco, a Wipro company and global technology and management consultancy for the financial services industry, is hiring a Technical Data Lead in Singapore. The role leads the design and delivery of scalable, secure and high-performing technology solutions, combining software engineering and solution design with a solid understanding of data and modern data platforms. It is a hands-on leadership position working across the SDLC in Agile environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical design and delivery across applications, integrations and data-driven solutions
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
• Provide hands-on leadership, including design and code reviews, troubleshooting and implementation guidance
• Define engineering standards, architectural patterns and development best practices
• Design and build solutions across cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments
• Guide application and integration design using APIs, microservices, messaging and event-driven approaches
• Apply data fundamentals including data modelling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines and data integration
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, availability and reliability requirements
• Support Agile delivery through estimation, backlog refinement and technical decision-making

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or technology delivery, including technical leadership
• Strong hands-on software development background with experience leading engineering teams
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern engineering practices
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and strong SQL fundamentals
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, source control, automated testing and code quality practices
• Experience leading or mentoring software and data engineers is an advantage

Required skills

• Modern application architecture, distributed systems, APIs and microservices
• Data architecture, data modelling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines and data integration
• Containerization, orchestration and cloud-native technologies (advantage)
• Data governance, data quality, lineage and security principles (advantage)
• Knowledge of Kafka, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake or equivalent (advantage)
