Technical Director – Electrical (Singapore)

About the role

RED, an international M&E consultancy, is looking for an experienced Technical Director (Electrical) to lead its Singapore office. You will oversee both small and large engineering projects, act as the primary client liaison, and drive innovative electrical design solutions across sectors such as data centres, commercial, hotel and retail.

Key responsibilities

• Promote RED’s culture and contribute to thought leadership and strategic positioning.
• Provide operational leadership and day‑to‑day management of the electrical team.
• Take strategic responsibility for business and project functions, monitoring risk, KPIs and project performance.
• Develop and mentor staff, review cost and profit diagnostics, and prepare fee bids.
• Produce concise reports for senior management and clients.
• Establish trusted client relationships through high‑quality project delivery.
• Drive value and innovation by applying technical and industry insights.
• Lead the design, coordination and delivery of M&E installations and systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Technical Director or senior electrical engineer in a building‑services consultancy.
• Hands‑on ability to manage projects from concept to completion.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience with data‑centre projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and contractors.
• Leadership qualities to inspire, mentor and make decisive escalations.
