Technician - Aero-Engine Components

About the role

Pratt & Whitney Singapore Component Repair, part of RTX, is hiring an onsite Technician for aero-engine components at its facility in Seletar, Singapore. The role involves repairing and overhauling engine parts by hand and with equipment, following procedures and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul aero-engine components by benching, blasting, brazing, blending, polishing, welding, machining or other required mechanical skills.
• Follow procedures and guidelines to meet operational requirements and quality standards.
• Support and take part in the company's EH&S programmes and report incidents, hazards and emergencies to the supervisor.
• Assess risks of activities and take corrective and preventive action.
• Take part in audits and inspections as required, attend EH&S training and support continuous improvement and CORE activities.

Required profile

• Minimum O' Level or NITEC in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2 years of relevant experience, or no experience if eager to join the aerospace industry.
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Comfortable with hands-on work with equipment, tools and machines.
• Curious, self-motivated and able to work independently; good team player with strong communication skills.
• Willing to work rotating day and night shifts and overtime when needed.

Preferred qualifications

• Aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience.
• Basic working knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
