Technician (Composite)

About the role

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is recruiting a Technician (Composite) for its Advanced Structures team in Singapore. The team uses advanced materials and additive manufacturing to develop complex aircraft interior and exterior solutions. The Technician performs inspection, composite and mechanical repair and assembly work on aircraft structural components.

Key responsibilities

• Learn to inspect and document defects accurately in Inspection Repair Records (IRR)
• Perform mechanical repair, part forming, part replacement, assembly and disassembly work
• Final inspect completed repairs to ensure they are serviceable and ready for release to service
• Use the alignment jig / ASMJ for repair work
• Carry out repair work according to the repair scheme / routing and clear the routing after each job
• Produce high-quality repair work
• Understand personal PPE and maintain a safe environment with 5S in the workshop

Required profile

• Diploma/Nitec in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Team player with a positive attitude and keen interest to learn
• CAAS A12, B11 and L11/L12 papers are advantageous

Required skills

• Understanding of blueprints, repair instructions and sketches
• Composite repair and assembly
