Technician - F10 Failure Analysis

About the role

Micron is hiring a Technician for Failure Analysis at its Fab 10N/X facility. The role supports production quality by inspecting samples, identifying defects and failure mechanisms, and working with engineering teams to resolve issues affecting tool performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cross-section analysis and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) inspection to monitor process health and ensure production quality.
• Prepare Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) samples using Focus Ion Beam (FIB).
• Identify defects and failure mechanisms using physical failure analysis and a range of failure analysis equipment.
• Complete physical fault isolation to pinpoint and resolve issues impacting production efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide timely feedback and implement solutions.
• Analyze wafers with functional failures to isolate defects and identify root causes.
• Document analytical findings and approaches, and integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work while complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Microelectronics/Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in Real-Time Defect Analysis (RDA) or failure analysis is advantageous.
• Ability to work permanent 12-hour night shifts for around-the-clock operations.
• Comfortable handling high-concentration chemicals safely.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
