Technician, Metrology & RealTime Defects Analysis (MRDA)

About the role

Micron is hiring a Metrology & RealTime Defects Analysis (MRDA) Technician to support Metrology and RealTime Defects Analysis operations. The role covers hands-on tool operation, data collection, basic troubleshooting, material disposition, product and tool qualification, and supporting improvement projects in the manufacturing environment. It involves working on 12-hour morning or night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform measurement activities using established recipes to give quick, accurate feedback on product integrity.
• Operate inspection and metrology tools and collect and organise measurement and defect data for engineer review.
• Monitor processes using Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and follow sampling methods to spot deviations early.
• Support engineers with tool maintenance schedules, tool recovery and first-level equipment and system troubleshooting.
• Perform internal preventive and corrective maintenance on metrology and defect analysis tools.
• Assist engineers with defect investigations, data gathering, preliminary checks and first-pass data analysis for root cause analysis.
• Support projects to improve inline detection, reduce measurement variability, increase efficiency and tool availability, and provide tool performance feedback to suppliers.
• Maintain competency in recipe maintenance, basic troubleshooting and recovery procedures, and comply with operational procedures.

Required profile

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials or a related field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in semiconductor fabrication processes is preferred.
• Able to work 12-hour morning or night shifts.
