Technician, Process and Equipment (Post Wafer Fabrication)

About the role

Micron is hiring an Equipment Technician for its post-wafer fabrication area. The technician monitors, sustains and improves equipment in their assigned area, working with Shift Operations, equipment engineers and tool vendors. They monitor tool performance, schedule and carry out preventative maintenance, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to repair equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting on non-functioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to plans, blueprints, manuals or drawings
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required
• Carry out equipment modifications as directed by engineers

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering preferred
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• No experience required; training will be provided
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing setting

Required skills

• Preferred: experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Preferred: knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and technologies
• Preferred: familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and automation tools
• Preferred: internship or experience as equipment in the semiconductor industry
