Technology Portfolio Manager (Projects)

About the role

Prudential's Technology Portfolio Manager (Projects) drives continuous change and improvement in the IT Division by setting up, monitoring and implementing plans. The role manages the IT Division portfolio across projects, resources, IT deliveries and key milestones, aligns with Technology strategy and embeds governance and change management. It reports to the Head of Technology Portfolio Management & Transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage division-wide technology transformation initiatives and ensure delivery excellence
• Coordinate the development or refinement of the technology transformation roadmap
• Help Technology departments turn strategic intent into execution plans across the Technology organization
• Drive change management to embed new ways of working
• Establish and manage program governance structures, steering committees and reporting frameworks
• Facilitate forums and activities within managed processes, and group reporting on projects and IT activities
• Support team members with non-IT portfolio activities such as IT audit and group reporting

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in portfolio management and/or managing mid-sized IT programs and projects through Agile and/or Waterfall
• Excellent understanding of IT project and delivery concepts
• Experience facilitating governance, project review, steering and other project/portfolio meetings
• Stakeholder management experience, especially with senior management, highly desirable
• Bachelor degree (Business, Finance, IT or equivalent); insurance, IT and/or project management certifications highly desirable
