Tester (Banking, West)

About the role

Our client, a leading bank, is looking for an experienced Tester to join the West trading team. You will ensure quality assurance and governance across trade projects.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for various trade projects.
• Execute all testing phases, including functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, document, and track defects to ensure the quality of software releases.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze and resolve issues promptly.
• Follow robust defect management processes.
• Support the definition and management of test environments, ensuring they are correctly configured and available.
• Assist in developing and maintaining test data strategies for diverse testing scenarios.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to the Test Lead and project stakeholders.
• Prepare comprehensive test reports and metrics to evaluate testing effectiveness and project readiness.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing and trade finance.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and contribute to solutions that enhance testing efficiency.
• Contribute to the enhancement of automated testing frameworks and tools.
