Transaction Operations Manager

About the role

Eastspring, a global asset manager with Asia at its core, is hiring a Transaction Operations Manager. The role covers daily regulatory reporting validation, incident management, risk and control oversight, and acting as a subject matter expert on trade regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily three-way data validation on EMIR and MAS reporting submissions.
• Work with the outsourced service provider to investigate and resolve rejected submissions in a timely manner.
• Independently manage and resolve stakeholder escalations, including internal teams, the outsourced provider, custodians and brokers.
• Support new transition activities, new instruments/markets and ad hoc projects; act as subject matter expert on trade regulatory reporting for projects affecting new products.
• Stay up to date with market updates and drive process changes within the Transaction Operations team.
• Manage risks and controls proactively with the Transaction Operations lead to maintain a robust control environment.
• Continuously improve workflows, systems and processes through automation, innovation and new technologies.

Required profile

• At least 5-7 years of experience in Middle Office/Operations in the asset management industry.
• Degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of asset management operations, especially derivatives and regulatory reporting.
• Experience managing an outsourced service provider.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team, strong attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure with variable deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience using Aladdin preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document processes and share best practices.
• Methodical thinker who challenges and proposes process improvements.
