Vice President CISO

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, execution‑oriented Vice President CISO to lead cybersecurity across Seagate’s global enterprise, covering cloud, IT and operational technology environments. Reporting to the SVP, Chief Information Officer, the role is responsible for defining security strategy, driving risk‑based prioritization and delivering measurable security outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an integrated, fact‑based view of the organization’s security risk posture across enterprise IT, cloud and OT.
• Translate technical risk signals into business impact and prioritize actions aligned with actual risk.
• Define security and control models for each environment and ensure clear ownership, accountability and decision rights.
• Influence resource and investment prioritization to address security requirements across IT and business units.
• Measure and report on execution effectiveness, remediation velocity and residual risk reduction over time.
• Build and operate a risk‑based security operating model and risk appetite framework in partnership with executive leadership.
• Mature the security program from reactive to proactive across protection, detection, response and recovery capabilities.
• Lead a high‑accountability security organization, communicating risk posture and outcomes to executive leadership and the board.

Required profile

• Proven executive experience leading cybersecurity for large, global organizations.
• Strong track record of developing and executing risk‑based security strategies.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross‑functional accountability.
• Excellent communication skills to present risk posture and security outcomes to executives and boards.
