Vice President, Client Strategy and Solutions

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is seeking a Vice President to join the Country Desk team in Singapore, within the Global Corporate Banking Division for Asia's Customer Strategy & Analytics team. The role represents the coverage countries at APAC Headquarters and works in a collaborative regional team, engaging stakeholders across all levels of management.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the designated coordinator for assigned APAC country(ies), representing Relationship Managers and GCIB Country Heads at APAC Headquarters
• Lead and support Annual Account Plans for clients and stay engaged in regional and country deal pipelines
• Coordinate with Product Offices and affiliates to capture cross-border transactions and ancillary business for Asian local corporates, GSB and FI clients
• Take part in Deal Screening Committees, secure business approvals and follow up on cross-sell targets
• Translate bank-wide and regional strategies into deal-by-deal engagement on behalf of senior management
• Support GCIB Country Heads in business initiatives, strategic and operational projects, and help Relationship Managers position deals internally and externally
• Engage Credit Divisions on deal approvals and drive client tiering and balance sheet optimization
• Use the CHUB portfolio management system to execute client initiatives
• Manage senior stakeholder relationships, monitor portfolio risks across Asia-Pacific and escalate material risks, and ensure compliance and regulatory matters are handled properly

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate banking products and services
• Proven credit and/or relationship management experience in corporate and/or institutional banking
• Prior experience with large, mid-market and/or small corporates preferred
• Experience in lending portfolio data consolidation and analysis is an advantage
• Strong familiarity with the Asia-Pacific banking and corporate landscape and experience across regional networks
