Vice President, Credit Sales

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is looking for a Vice President Credit Sales based in Singapore. The role suits someone who enjoys building and nurturing relationships with institutional clients across the APAC region, particularly in Singapore and ASEAN markets. It covers both flow and structured credit products, with flexible working arrangements and continuous training.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an established portfolio of institutional clients and proactively seek new business across APAC markets.
• Originate, pitch and execute credit opportunities in flow and structured products, and expand credit sales coverage in Singapore and ASEAN.
• Deepen relationships with key clients in Singapore and ASEAN through personalised service.
• Collaborate with Trading, Debt Capital Markets, Syndicate and other product teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Keep clients informed about market trends, new issuances and secondary flow activities.
• Identify product expansion opportunities and cross-sell relevant offerings.
• Provide timely feedback on client preferences and market sentiment to inform product strategy.
• Take part in regular training sessions and represent the team at industry events or conferences when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years' experience in credit sales roles at major financial institutions or investment banks covering flow and structured products across multiple jurisdictions.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in global credit markets, including primary issuance and secondary trading for institutional investors.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, including significant APAC experience.
• Demonstrated ability to generate substantial revenue through long-term client relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with presentations tailored to diverse APAC audiences.
• Proficiency in an additional Asian language such as Mandarin or Bahasa is an advantage.
