Vice President, Fund Finance

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Vice President, Fund Finance for its Singapore office. You will be an instrumental team member in driving the success of the fund finance business across APAC, working with senior colleagues to originate and execute complex transactions for a diverse client base and help expand the Fund Finance APAC portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all credit-related matters from initial assessment through to closing, ensuring deals meet underwriting standards and MUFG strategy
• Conduct due diligence, prepare and negotiate term sheets, prepare and submit credit applications, manage documentation and support closing operations
• Build stakeholder relationships with internal teams and external partners
• Prepare financing proposals, present ideas and support clients throughout deal lifecycles
• Monitor portfolio compliance through regular reviews and reporting support
• Provide analysis and suggestions to senior team members, identify cross-sell opportunities and support distribution activities
• Complete general administration tasks with accurate record-keeping and timely reporting

Required profile

• Minimum of seven years' experience in corporate or structured lending within banking or finance
• At least two years of direct exposure to fund finance transactions is an advantage
• Demonstrated experience engaging with clients and internal stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline

Required skills

• Strong understanding of core banking lending principles
• Proven ability to write balanced, comprehensive credit papers
• Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
