Vice President, Global Procurement

About the role

The Vice President, Global Procurement leads the worldwide procurement function for a key division, driving cost leadership, strategic supplier partnerships, and operational excellence across both direct and indirect material categories. This senior position shapes procurement strategy, embeds ESG standards, and ensures supply continuity in a dynamic global market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a division‑wide procurement strategy aligned with business objectives and sustainability targets.
• Lead cost‑efficiency programs, strategic sourcing initiatives, and value‑engineering projects to boost profitability.
• Mentor and develop a global procurement team, overseeing regional direct reports and succession planning.
• Establish strategic supplier partnerships and mitigate supply‑chain risks to ensure resilience.
• Integrate ESG, compliance, and ethical‑sourcing standards throughout procurement processes.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Finance, and Business Unit leaders to embed procurement into product‑lifecycle and lean‑manufacturing initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive procurement/supply‑chain experience, including at least 5 years in senior global leadership.
• Experience in manufacturing or related industrial sectors.
• Strong strategic thinking, financial literacy, and ability to translate strategy into business outcomes.
• Proven leadership, change‑management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills across multiple regions.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% globally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional language a plus.
