VP - Private Banker

About the role

Barclays is looking for a Vice President Private Banker to establish and nurture profitable partnerships with corporate and individual clients. The role acts as the bridge between the bank's offerings and clients' needs, supporting analysis of client data such as investment portfolios and cash flows, and designing customised solutions. The position is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client relationships, identifying financial goals, challenges and risk tolerance, and analyse data from investment portfolios and cash flow to spot trends and opportunities.
• Research industry trends, the regulatory landscape and the competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
• Design customised solutions drawing on the bank's product and service portfolio, and negotiate terms that benefit both client and bank.
• Provide investment advice, risk management and wealth management guidance, and keep clients informed on market trends.
• Assess financial, legal and operational risks and implement measures to minimise potential losses.
• Document client interactions, transactions and agreements, and monitor client satisfaction and revenue to evaluate relationship management effectiveness.
• Contribute to strategy, plan resources and budgets, manage policies and processes, and advise stakeholders and senior management.
• If leading a team, define roles, counsel employees and apply the LEAD leadership behaviours; otherwise act as a subject matter expert guiding technical direction.

Required profile

• CACS 1 and 2 certification.
• Legal right to work in Singapore; applicants holding a Barclays-sponsored visa or requiring sponsorship must declare this.
