Warehouse Manager

About the role

Abbott Nutrition is hiring a Warehouse Manager for its manufacturing plant in Tuas, Singapore, which is part of the Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain International Operations network. The role leads a team of Warehouse Specialists and Associate Front-Line leaders and covers both the in-plant warehouse and an external third-party managed warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Define short- and long-term warehouse strategy, set KPIs, goals and objectives, and lead the team to deliver results
• Keep the warehouse clean, pest-free and secure to protect product integrity
• Plan resources, equip staff with the right skills and tools, and maintain safe workplaces and approved procedures
• Manage the warehouse budget and expenses, and manage warehouse capacity and storage requests
• Manage outsourced service providers so that services meet quality and performance standards within budget
• Manage inventory across in-plant and external warehouses, run periodic physical counts, reconcile and investigate variances, and comply with SOX inventory requirements
• Lead investigations into material control events and product-damage customer complaints, close reports on time, implement CAPAs and track their effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with policies, the business code of conduct and statutory requirements, and enforce EHS compliance for employees and contractors
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean / Sigma projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations management, engineering, material management, or a diploma with more than 6 years of experience
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience and 2 years in a management situation
• Preferred: knowledge of Lean Sigma concepts
• Good communication skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
