Wellness Trainer – Frailty Management & Gym Tonic

About the role

The Wellness Trainer delivers structured exercise and frailty interventions for seniors under the Frailty Management Programme (FMP) and Gym Tonic (GT). Working across Toa Payoh and Woodlands sites, the role supports seniors to improve strength, balance, mobility and functional independence while fostering community contribution.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver GT and FMP exercise sessions, tailoring individual and group activities to participants’ functional abilities and health conditions.
• Conduct health screenings, baseline assessments and monitor vital signs before, during and after sessions.
• Ensure participant safety through proper supervision, risk management and emergency response protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments and progress in line with PDPA compliance.
• Support senior volunteers, guide correct equipment use and collaborate with allied health professionals as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Exercise Science, Sports Science, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation or related health discipline.
• Relevant fitness or geriatric certifications; valid CPR and first‑aid certification.
• Experience in fitness training, rehabilitation or community wellness programmes, preferably with seniors.
• Strong interpersonal communication in English; proficiency in Mandarin or local dialects is a plus.
• Passion for improving senior health, patient, encouraging and supportive attitude.
