Yield Enhancement Engineer (PIE YE)

About the role

Micron is hiring a Yield Enhancement (YE) engineer for its Fab site. The role applies knowledge of semiconductor device physics, electronics and manufacturing processes to analyse yield data, resolve yield issues and support the fab in improving device yield.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of yield data analysis, wafer fabrication processes and their common effects on yield and device performance.
• Use knowledge of semiconductor device physics, electronics and manufacturing to explain and resolve yield issues with statistical and data analysis tools.
• Communicate process and tool-related yield toggles to the fab process areas and support them in fixing them.
• Work closely with other internal Yield Enhancement groups and join multi-area focus teams to solve complex yield problems.
• Publish a clear Pareto of yield limiters for the assigned part type.
• Present data clearly in large meetings and support the transfer of next-generation technology from R&D to production fab when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science.
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate across all levels and present data in large meetings.
• Growth mindset, interest in the semiconductor industry and Micron, and internship or semiconductor industry experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
