Accountant – Finance Operations (Singapore)

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accountant role plays a key part in supporting day‑to‑day finance operations at TOMRA Singapore. You will ensure accurate and timely execution of accounting, reporting, payment and compliance activities while working in a fast‑moving start‑up environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, payments, collections and follow‑up.
• Prepare supplier payments, employee claims and banking transactions; perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities such as journal entries, accruals and general‑ledger maintenance.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, GST submissions and statutory filings; liaise with auditors and tax advisors.
• Contribute to process improvements, ERP system maintenance (IFS preferred) and finance projects.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general‑ledger accounting and month‑end closing.
• Familiarity with Singapore accounting practices, GST and statutory reporting requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems; IFS experience is an advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attention to detail, proactive attitude and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
