Accountant – Vessel Accounting

About the role

Fleet Ship Management Pte Ltd is seeking an Accountant to support the daily vessel accounting operations across its global fleet. The role involves handling accounts receivable/payable, inter‑company fund transfers and preparing full‑set vessel financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain vessel accounting records and process portage bill accounting.
• Raise fund requests to vessel owners, monitor receipts and reconcile inter‑company balances.
• Prepare complete vessel financial reports with supporting documentation and ensure timely submission.
• Coordinate with internal functions and external parties to address queries from vessel owners.
• Assist in SOX audit preparation and provide audit schedules to auditors.
• Supply MIS data related to vessel reports to supervisors and head office.
• Perform ad‑hoc finance and accounting tasks as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in vessel accounting or related maritime finance functions.
• Graduate or higher diploma in Accountancy, Business or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with effective decision‑making skills.
• Good collaboration and communication skills for internal and external interactions.
