Air Logistics Healthcare Operational Care Specialist

About the role

As a member of Kuehne+Nagel’s Freight Forwarding team, you will manage end‑to‑end healthcare air shipments, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of temperature‑sensitive products. You will operate in a 24/7 environment, supporting mission‑critical shipments that make a real difference for patients and customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the full lifecycle of healthcare air freight shipments from origin to destination.
• Monitor temperature‑controlled and time‑critical shipments to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Coordinate bookings with carriers, gateways, warehouses, customs and billing teams.
• Prepare and verify all shipping documentation accurately and on time.
• Identify operational risks early and implement corrective actions to avoid service failures.
• Provide real‑time shipment status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support emergency and 24/7 shipment handling as needed.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert on healthcare logistics processes and compliance.
• Promote continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and adherence to SOPs.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service, manage escalations and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure accurate cost capture, invoice validation and billing compliance.
• Participate in operational excellence, digitalisation and process‑automation projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in air courier, freight forwarding or logistics operations (healthcare or cold‑chain experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of time‑critical, temperature‑controlled shipments and related regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, 24/7 operational environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
