Appian Architect – Senior Government Solutions

About the role

The Appian Architect will own the end‑to‑end technical design and delivery quality of Appian solutions for Singapore Government agencies and statutory boards. This senior position blends deep platform expertise with the ability to translate public‑sector policy, data‑governance and security requirements into a compliant, scalable architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture and design for Appian applications, ensuring alignment with agency IT policies and Smart Nation standards.
• Define and govern the Appian data model, CDT structures and RDBMS design in line with public‑sector data classification.
• Own security architecture, including group‑based models, record‑level security and role‑based access control.
• Design and review SAIL interfaces, process models, Records, Sites and Task Reports for performance and maintainability.
• Architect external integrations (Integration Objects, web services/APIs) with government shared platforms while meeting network and data‑exchange controls.
• Direct custom Appian plug‑in development when out‑of‑the‑box functionality is insufficient.
• Guide environment strategy, installation and server‑side configuration across Dev/Test/Staging/Production tiers.
• Establish DevOps practices, deployment pipelines and version‑control processes for public‑sector change‑management.
• Run Appian HealthCheck, log analysis and performance diagnostics, and remediate findings before audits.
• Provide technical governance in Architecture Review Board sessions and VAPT cycles.
• Mentor senior developers and enforce coding and design standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of hands‑on Appian development/architecture experience and 10 + years overall in IT.
• Proven experience with Appian 20.x or later, including Process HQ, AI Skills, Document extraction and RPA.
• Strong understanding of public‑sector policy, data‑governance and security requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to lead workshops with government stakeholders.
