About the role
The Application Maintenance Engineer will perform root‑cause analysis on incidents, develop and support programs, ensure production stability, and troubleshoot existing software across a range of technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse and remediate application, batch and connectivity incidents, providing root‑cause solutions.
- Prioritise defects, plan quarterly releases and coordinate production deployments after risk assessments.
- Develop programs, support end‑to‑end testing in SIT, assist UAT, and prepare releases for production.
- Maintain production stability by monitoring deployments and meeting defect‑closure KPIs.
- Share defect‑support learnings with QA and development teams to improve application quality.
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software components.
Required profile
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in application maintenance and incident management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders.

- Oracle, SQL, Hibernate.
- Solaris, RedHat Linux, JBOSS, Openshift Container Platform, Apache.
- IBM MQ, Kafka, Connect Direct, Control‑M, Tivoli, Geneos, Splunk.
- FIS OPF product knowledge.
- CI/CD tools: BitBucket, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Aldon.
- Incident & problem management tools: Remedy, JIRA.
