Assistant Director – Medical Planning (Healthcare Infrastructure)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Director to lead medical planning for large public‑healthcare infrastructure projects. The role sits within the Healthcare Infrastructure Projects Division of MOH Holdings and will co‑lead a major hospital or specialty centre, acting as the in‑house medical planning consultant.

Key responsibilities

• Engage and manage stakeholders across MOH, public‑healthcare clusters, contractors and consultants throughout all project phases.
• Lead space utilisation analyses, determine requirements and provide evidence‑based design solutions.
• Coordinate and evaluate macro and micro planning deliverables from consultants, ensuring alignment with national standards.
• Review tender documents, oversee procurement processes and lead design evaluation committees.
• Develop and maintain Singapore‑specific design and technical guidelines, and publish technical papers for local and international conferences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Medical Planning or Hospital Planning.
• Minimum 15 years post‑graduate experience in architecture/interior design with at least 5 years in healthcare project planning.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore healthcare codes, standards and LEAN/Evidence‑Based Design concepts.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder‑management abilities.
