Assistant Manager / Manager – Regional Tax (Group Tax)

About the role

You will join Sea’s HQ Finance department, supporting the tax compliance, advisory and governance for the Group’s three core businesses across multiple jurisdictions. The Tax function ensures effective tax governance, risk management and planning for both direct and indirect taxes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Group’s direct and indirect tax matters, ensuring timely compliance and accurate reporting.
• Review and prepare tax returns, coordinate tax reporting and manage tax audits in collaboration with finance teams.
• Research, design and implement tax initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders to assess tax impacts.
• Lead cross‑border tax and transfer‑pricing projects, developing policies that align with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects and provide tax advisory support to the business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant, ACCA, CA or an advanced taxation qualification (preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a Big 4 firm or a multinational corporation.
• Strong technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes and transfer‑pricing regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage projects independently.
